Mickey Dees

Hello to all. Sorry I have not blogged a blog recently. I know your life feels empty and meaningless when I am not writing. Here is a funny story.

My pop and myself have decided to make a summer ritual of going to Taylorsville Lake. This is a pretty big man made lake located about 20 minutes from Louisville. We are able to rent a dent little boat for around $130 and spend the entire day fishing, swimming and eating. Not to mention the wildlife. We witnessededed 2 raccoons, 2 turtles, 3 deer, 1 dead fish, and about 20 Cranes.

On the way to the lake we decided to stop at McDonalds to get some breakfast. This McDonalds was located in the end slot of a strip mall. The drive thru was around back of the strip mall. It was the first non free standing MceeD's that I have witnessededed. We pull up to the drive through in full anticipation of the goodies that will soon be in our face and then in our tummies. My dad rolls down the window and begins to examine the menu, When... The sprinkler system comes on and shoots my pop dead on in the face. I see the confusion in my pops mannerisms as he gets wetted down for a full 5 long seconds before attempting to roll up the window. The window roll up moves incredibly slow while you are being shot directly in the forehead by a lightning bolt like stream of water. Finally the window is rolled up and my dad looks super pissed. I on the other hand am laughing uncontrollably. He eventually joins in. We pull up to the window and the manager explains to us that they do not officially open until he following Monday. My pop and I have several moments of unstoppable laughter throughout the day. I still laugh when thinking about it. I will trade a Bacon, Egg and cheese biscuit for laughter at my dads expense any day of the week.

Wow... that's some bad timing right there! Not to mention some bad sprinkler placement.
