5K Run
I want to run a 5k sometime in August. Who is coming with me? Also, will others who want to run and have more time than myself research where some of these may be in Mid August? I am open to run either in Louisville or Indy.

We should run the Midsummer night run. You all can find a link to this run on the page above. It is aug 20th at 8:30 pm in Lexington. Let me know if you all are in.

More to the point-It's a good excuse NOT to smoke cigarettes, or to gobble up ALL the Chocolicious Wonka Cakes....
There are plenty of 5k runs scheduled for the Louisville area this fall- go to www.fleetfeetlouisville.com and you'll see just what I mean.....Skydiving anyone?
I want to say that Bill Hicks was a genius- but that's only half of the story. I cannot believe that I am just now discovering this prophet- ten years after his death. I guess the saying holds true- "When the student is ready the teacher appears". Even post-mortem.
He was a genius in the comedic sense of the word, because how can you take the most serious subjects, like death, abortion, corruption and stupidity in high places- and make it truly funny? It takes a comedic genius like Hicks, or Carlin before him, to pull it off.
I believe that Hicks was beyond genius though- I believe him when he says that humanity (and the universe) is evolving. I believe him when he says that he was on the next rung, waiting for the rest of us dumbfounded dipshits to catch up. He was ahead of our time, but not necessarily ahead of his. He just went back to the future my friend.
I'm still digesting what I know of the man and what little I've heard him say- now I am on a mission to collect his audio and video so that I can absorb more. What does any of this have to do with 5k runs? Not a fucking thing. Have a great weekend.
