I say yes and no. Peace corps seems like a good idea until you get over there and are demoralized by the corruption, poverty, and fact that you aren't immune to any number of diseases over there.
my brother-in-law did it. my sister visited and had to leave b/c she was realyl sick.
otoh, if you REALLY want to, then I say yes.
the marine corps would totally smoke the peace corps.
How much more you could contribute to the world by developing your skills and mind and career ... get solid in being able to take care of yourself, then earn above what you need to live, then use your resources to help others. Truly ... TRULY .... this is the way to serve best.

I understand pop. The problem is that the more money you make the more elaborate your lifestyle becomes. Joining the Peace Corp is not a lifetime commitment, it is a two year commitment. We will talk more about it in person. Also, if I do join, I wouldn't leave for a year.
