John Titor

A few months ago I was listening to Coast to Coast on NPR. They were talking about a man named John Titor who was posting on a lot of forums in the year 2000. What made him exciting was that he claimed to be a time traveler from the year 2036. I have read up on him and I must admit the stuff is pretty interesting. He talks a lot of scientific stuff about time travel and his time machine. If you have some time to kill you should check it out. Something to do if nothing else. I was curious if those of you who read this blog who are more scientifically and spellingtifically than myself, could tell me if the stuff he says makes any sense. Happy reading. Here is the link to the best forum I found.

like bigfoot, this looks like a fun and interesting story made up by some lonely loser out there.

I read some of one of the threads. it was convienient that he offered no proof and you could tell he just wanted people to ask him specific questions, so he could make up some bullshit to entertain himself.

I thought it was pretty funny that he said GE made his time machine and the documentation for it was written with a typewriter.

that is probably the funniest part. GE? why not fisher price? reminds me of "mr. fusion" from back to the future.

i don't know much about time travel. although i read hawking's brief history of time and universe in a nutshell. i think he did say that time travel was possible... i don't know. sass read it, maybe he remembers...

i was counting the seconds you would point that out on this blog.

I don't think I have to point out the differences between a idiot with too much time on his hands and the son of God.

the whole GE thing still kills me.

I am sure this guy is fake. the fact that we are even talking about it gives merit to ludicrius ideas. we should stop immediatly and you should delete this post before more people see it.

anway, i know it is fake, I didn't see the flux capacator.

okay, gotta go back to work.

brad i thought we settled that it wouldnt be plausible for him to come to the past and not return to his same future...

Yeah, we did. However I think he could return to a future that only was different than his by a fraction of a percent. Maybe. I don't know.

It's funny because the night before I read this post I watched the episode of south park where stan's parents hire an actor to portray stan's future self to scare him into not doing drugs. Also this weekend, a couple of guys I camped out with were talking about Stephen Hawking's books and time travel. I would have participated but I was trying to sleep. The younger kid somehow thought that you could time travel with Tivo. :) He didn't understand how it worked. I laughed to myself. Other than the general principles, I don't remember much about Hawking's books.

time traveling with Tivo is just about as absurd as this situation.

I can't help but believe in wormholes, but that has to do with a certain experience that happened in Amsterdam.
