Those stars are for you Tara!
Can someone please tell me why you can build a car that gets 1000mpg and holds 1 person weighing 105lbs but you cannot build one that gets 250mpg that can handle 420lbs?
You all are much smarter than I.

this guy had contests in the 80's and they got up to 470mpg on a motorcycle, a streamliner with significantly retarded timing and whatnot. performance is the major factor in reducing mileage for sure. look at how some prius drivers milk out extra mileage by driving like little bitches, checking tire pressure constantly and all that
Thanks for the stars, Brad. I am glad you blogged a blog.

calling that a car is rediculous. they probably have more in common with mopeds.
* what they didn't mention is that those "cars" were probably going 10-20 mph
that being said, I think you are right. it seems like some improvements are in order. And i think we will see some as the market demands them.
